New panel at Soundtrack Poděbrady 2025 festival will connect the worlds of music and film
Bridging the Gap: Connecting film and music – this is the title of the panel discussion that will take place as part of the prestigious Soundtrack Poděbrady 2025 festival. The panel, organized by Artist Bridge Consulting s.r.o. under the leadership of Maria Zhořová, aims to open the necessary dialogue between film and music professionals across generations and disciplines.
The panel will focus on specific obstacles that prevent effective cooperation between music and film creators and will try to offer practical solutions to improve mutual understanding and fair assessment of the musical component of audiovisual production.
Topics discussed will include:
Lack of networking opportunities between film and music creators
Limited support for emerging talent in the field of synchronization
Low awareness of music publishing and licensing
Lack of standardization in the field of synchronization and insufficient anchoring of the role of the music supervisor
The panel will have the format of a 60-minute moderated discussion with experts from both industries, followed by a 30-minute open debate with the audience. The program will also include case studies and concrete examples from practice.

The panel is being created in cooperation with the international initiative Europe in Synch (https://europeinsynch.net/). The Poděbrady Soundtrack will offer not only strong artistic experiences, but also professional platforms that can help transform the Czech environment into a more open and connected creative ecosystem.
